“On behalf of the SIRE Technology and Bastion teams I would like to thank you and the entire Entrepreneurs Hub team for helping us take our businesses through the transaction and onto the next level. Back at the start of this process we interviewed three prospective agents, all with very different styles and approaches. The key elements that attracted me to EH at that first meeting were: 1. You and the team had clearly done your homework and prepared specifically for the meeting; 2. You understood our industry and how to approach the marketing and positioning task; 3. The team demonstrated in clear language the process and the steps; 4. I was impressed with the amount of research and profiling that goes into a transaction as part of your service; 5. Your team clearly demonstrated an energy to work with us 😊 However, it’s one thing to make a great pitch and another to deliver on that vision. I’m very happy to report that EH lived up to every aspect of the service that was pitched to us on day one. We got “exactly what it said on the tin” so to speak. Andrew and the team are clearly seasoned and experienced professionals in this field, they know all the pitfalls and “gotchas”, saw them coming and briefed us on what to expect and how act. If I ever need to go through this process again, I will be using Andrew and his team without question!”

I then looked to appoint an agent and went through a procurement exercise, interviewing 3 firms. I appointed the median one on fees but the one that appeared the most personal. I was very happy with my engagement with EH. It is a very emotional ride, and Mike was to hand as and when required. He was a great ambassador, mentor and advisor. Ultimately, we got the deal done together and I am satisfied I had made the right choice with EH. Long live retirement!”

Exiting your business can be a tough road so we needed their knowledgeable advisors alongside us to overcome challenges, knock backs, and get through prolonged negotiations and uncertain circumstances to get the deal over the line. Our advice to another business owner selling a company would be to find an advisor you trust, with business experience – not just a broker. Entrepreneurs Hub had our company’s best interests at heart throughout the whole process of selling our business and preparing it for that sale. They really understood our company and our future goals. With their vast network of contacts, we found an overseas buyer that we never would have known about otherwise – one we felt proud to sell our business to. We’ve been rewarded, our business and staff are secure and we are on our countdown to retirement now. Very happy.”

This structure allowed us to remain actively involved in the business while we focused on strengthening the new board, including recruiting a Managing Director to take the lead. As part of this process, we asked Entrepreneurs Hub to support us in that recruitment. They managed everything from identifying, approaching, and screening potential candidates, to overseeing and conducting the interview process. We were presented with several top-tier candidates and ultimately hired a new MD who has been an excellent addition to the business. We are extremely excited about the future of Durkin and Sons as an EOT and would like to express our sincere thanks to the Entrepreneurs Hub team for their invaluable support. Shuretech logo featuring a red and grey shield icon to the left of the black text SHURETECH, with the slogan Security solutions to protect your business & home below.

“We had already made the firm decision to sell the company and had already been receiving frequent approaches from brokers seeking to represent us or convince us to sell. We needed to narrow our options carefully. Entrepreneurs Hub came highly recommended by a trusted contact, and we are delighted that we chose them.

The sale was prompted by a change in personal circumstances and provided an opportunity to realise the value we had built. As this was entirely new territory for us, trust was paramount, and the personal recommendation played a significant role in our decision.
Initially, we were concerned that Entrepreneurs Hub had completed fewer transactions than a larger online broker we had also engaged with, and whether they could deliver comparable reach and results. Those concerns were quickly eliminated. The level of interest generated greatly exceeded our expectations.

From the outset, Entrepreneurs Hub emphasised that the early stages would require significant preparation and that they would not rush us to market. They focused on thoroughly assessing and positioning the business before presenting it to buyers. In contrast, the larger broker encouraged speed and visibility.
In hindsight, taking the more strategic and disciplined approach proved invaluable.

The process with Entrepreneurs Hub was detailed, methodical, and highly strategic. We felt expertly positioned when introduced to the market. The process was demanding and time-consuming and we cannot imagine navigating it again without experienced advisers. The value added by the Entrepreneurs Hub team was exceptional. Their combined experience on both the buying and selling sides, particularly in financial matters, proved invaluable.

We had ambitious expectations and a clear target we both wanted to walk away with. The team not only met but exceeded our objectives. Without their guidance, we now believe we would have been significantly disadvantaged during negotiations and would not have achieved the outcome we ultimately secured.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Entrepreneurs Hub without hesitation.”

“Selling my business felt overwhelming until we found Entrepreneurs Hub. They took the time to understand not just the numbers, but the story behind our company. Their support, communication, and genuine care made all the difference. I always felt like I had a partner in the process, not just a service provider. Thanks to them, I found a buyer who values what I built. I’m truly grateful.

A business sale is often the largest financial event in an owner’s life – and for most, there is only one opportunity to get it right. Some advisers chase deal volume, exaggerate valuations and rush businesses to market; others seek to impress – or even blind owners with EBITDA adjustments, working capital leakage debates or locked-box mechanics. Those accounting disciplines matter, but they protect value – they do not create strategic premium. Real value is generated by identifying the right strategic acquirer, shaping the equity story around strategic fit, and tough commercial negotiations from a position of strength. The premium sits in positioning, and James ensured that focus never shifted.”
