What part do you play in the Entrepreneurs Hub team?

I am often one of the first ports of call when a client is considering a sale of their business and is seeking advice. In addition, and once a client officially starts their business sale project with EH, then I am also part of the team which helps to deliver the transaction.

What experience do you bring to the table?

For over twenty years now I have been advising business owners on their share sale strategies whether they are in the early stages of considering a transaction or they have had an approach from an acquirer and wondering what their next move needs to be.

I have worked across all industries, with all ages of entrepreneurs and in every circumstance imaginable from start-ups to retirement projects and general business succession strategies, or families responding to sudden personal events. Nothing an entrepreneur can say surprises me anymore.

This very broad and cumulative experience garnered from meeting thousands of shareholders over the years allows me to provide very rounded and wise advice to business owners. Whether it is related to business improvement or a share sale strategy I will have certainly come across situations previously in order to offer the best advice and course of action moving forward.

What do you like to get up to outside of work?

Most days I like to be up early for a workout and in the gym by around 6 am. Outside of this I am a keen hiker and enjoy spending time in the hills and mountains of the UK and the Alps including for snow sports.

In terms of other interests, I enjoy cooking, music, health and nutrition, as well as the subjects of economics, finance and psychology.

What’s the best thing about working at Entrepreneurs Hub?

After so many years of working in companies which either employed thousands or hundreds of staff members I enjoy working in a smaller team where the client outcome feels really personal and important to everyone. Our customers get to experience a truly personal and friendly service delivered by highly experienced and qualified people.

You can only listen to one artist or band for the rest of your life. Who is it?

For a music lover with taste covering anything from Classical and Jazz to Folk and Electronic and everything in between its almost an impossible question to answer but here goes – Prince. On the basis that he is an artist with a long diverse back catalogue, collaborations, ‘produced by’s’ as well as many as yet unreleased content by him or others who may release his songs – I am sure it would provide me with enough choice moving forward!

What’s something we might be surprised to learn about you?

I once hitchhiked from Strasbourg to the Sahara and back. Out in normal clothes and back in a djellaba with a lizard on my shoulder. All with a crazy Irish friend who had his leg in a cast and carrying crutches after a nasty rugby tackle.
