Millie Beckett
Snr. Approach Consultant
What part do you play in the Entrepreneurs Hub team?
I am part of the approach team who introduces acquisition opportunities to company CEO’s, Finance Directors, and M&A Specialists. I focus on finding the right person to speak with and engaging them into further discussions around them buying our clients. I am jointly responsible for building our database with potential acquirers and finding out exactly what they are looking for in an acquisition.
What experience do you bring to the table?
I bring to EH my vast sales experience & knowledge. With 14 years dedicated solely to manufacturing and engineering I have had great insight to a plethora of industry sectors over the years which comes in very handy in selling a variety of businesses.
What do you like to get up to outside of work?
In the lockdowns of 2020, I bought myself my first ever sewing machine & I now make my own clothing when I get the spare time. I also love to sing and have belonged to a community choir for the past 18 years. This has seen me perform to audiences around the Southeast of England and even for Lady Carnarvon at her home in Highclere Castle! To relax properly, I love to spend the evening in an old cosy pub or restaurant with my husband, just watching the world go by.
What’s the best thing about working at Entrepreneurs Hub?
I really love the values behind the company and everyone who works here! We all have our part to play (I’m just a small cog in a great machine) and everyone works together for the engine to run smoothly. There is such a supportive atmosphere that runs from the top down. It is unlike any other place I’ve worked in my nearly 40 years of employment – Unique!
You can only listen to one artist or band for the rest of your life. Who is it?
A band called the Dance Floor Fillers – They played at my wedding. I’m not being sentimental, but they are a covers band and cover a variety of genres. Why choose one genre for the rest of my life if I don’t have to, right!
What’s something we might be surprised to learn about you?
I have recorded an album.
