Tara Verma

Research Executive

A woman with long dark hair, wearing a light blue button-up shirt and a gold necklace, stands smiling in front of a plain gray background.

What part do you play in the Entrepreneurs Hub team?

In my role as a researcher, I build tailored buyer lists by analysing market trends, financials, and strategic fit. While I enjoy diving into strategy reports, what really motivates me is the bigger picture, helping founders find the right partners who will honour their purpose and legacy. Being part of that journey and making a real difference is what I find most rewarding.

What experience do you bring to the table?

I am a graduate of Durham University with a degree in Behavioural Science, where I dived into everything from research methods and statistics to why people do what they do. Although I don’t have a traditional M&A background, my time at university has given me a strong foundation in data analysis, along with a deep understanding of how people make decisions… all valuable when evaluating businesses and market dynamics in M&A.

What do you like to get up to outside of work?

I’m a recording artist, my original song PREY has hit over 1 million views on YouTube, which feels surreal! When I’m not making music, you’ll probably find me on the Pilates Reformer – I love how strong and focused it makes me feel. I also love baking, my banana bread is always a crowd favourite!

What’s the best thing about working at Entrepreneurs Hub?

For me, it’s the people. There’s a real sense of teamwork and positivity, which makes it a great environment to learn and thrive.

You can only listen to one artist or band for the rest of your life. Who is it?

Mariah the Scientist (I have so many favourites, that if you were to ask me again in an hour, I can guarantee that my answer will have changed!)

What’s something we might be surprised to learn about you?

I was very close to attending drama school instead of university.
