AC Wilgar Acquired by The Perpetuity Project
Entrepreneurs Hub advise AC Wilgar on sale to perpetual holding company The Perpetuity Project
AC Wilgar, a leading provider of premium heating, plumbing and air conditioning services, has been acquired by European perpetual holding company The Perpetuity Project.
The transaction was advised by corporate finance boutique Entrepreneurs Hub Ltd, which specialises in helping UK SME business owners successfully sell their businesses. Additionally, Mackrell LLP acted as legal advisors to AC Wilgar and Marriott Harrison acted as legal advisors to The Perpetuity Project.
AC Wilgar was founded in 1985 by Billy Wilgar to provide high-quality heating and plumbing services to the domestic market. Over the past 40 years the award-winning business has grown significantly and built a strong reputation as a trusted service provider to thousands of homeowners and businesses across London and the Southeast.
As the business continued to expand, Billy engaged Entrepreneurs Hub to help identify an acquisition partner capable of supporting the company’s next phase of growth while preserving the culture and values that have underpinned its long-term success.
Billy Wilgar said: “Building this business has been a huge part of my life, so finding the right partner was about far more than just the deal – it was about protecting our culture and setting the business up for the future. From day one, The Perpetuity Project just felt right. They understand what we’ve built, they value our people, and they share our long-term vision – which gives me real confidence and excitement for what comes next.
“Entrepreneurs Hub were exceptional throughout. They didn’t just advise they truly understood me, the business, and what mattered most, and they were relentless in driving the right outcome. Selling a business is one of the biggest decisions you make and having that level of support made all the difference. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Entrepreneurs Hub – engaging them was one of the best investments I’ve made.”
The Perpetuity Project was identified as a strong strategic fit and quickly became the preferred partner due to its commitment to maintaining the company’s existing culture while providing investment to support future expansion.
Rob Rickard, who led the deal for Entrepreneurs Hub, reflects: “I’m pleased to complete this transaction between two excellent and highly professional parties. Both have demonstrated integrity throughout the process and are well positioned to thrive in the coming years with this impressive business.”
Malcolm Murray, Director & Co-Founder of Entrepreneurs Hub, added: “When I first met Billy it was clear he had built an exceptional business with great technology, a strong reputation and a high quality, loyal customer base. Finding a partner like The Perpetuity Project will enable AC Wilgar to continue growing while preserving the values that have made it successful.
“I’m delighted for Billy, Sally and the AC Wilgar team and wish them every success in this exciting new chapter.”
