Shuretech Acquired by Gunnebo Entrance Control
Entrepreneurs Hub advise Shuretech on sale to international security business Gunnebo Entrance Control
Shuretech, a provider of integrated whole-site security access solutions, has been acquired by Gunnebo Entrance Control, a global provider of entrance control solutions.
The acquisition was facilitated by corporate finance boutique Entrepreneurs Hub Ltd – a firm that provides strategic growth and expert business sales advice to SME business owners and entrepreneurs across the UK.
Established in 2011, Shuretech has grown to offer a comprehensive site security service to businesses and high-net-worth individuals. The company has a particularly strong offering within the highly sensitive data centre sector.
Having joined the business in 2018 and 2020 respectively, Lewis Hakesley and Carl Graham acquired shares through an MBO in 2021. Having achieved their aims for the business, Lewis and Carl came to Entrepreneurs Hub to help them secure the future growth of the business by finding a suitable acquisition partner.
Lewis and Carl said:
I would wholeheartedly recommend Entrepreneurs Hub without hesitation.
The process was demanding and time-consuming and we cannot imagine navigating it without experienced advisors. The value added by the Entrepreneurs Hub team was exceptional. Their combined experience on both the buying and selling sides, particularly in financial matters, proved invaluable.
We had ambitious expectations and a clear target we both wanted to walk away with. The team not only met but exceeded our objectives. Without their guidance, we now believe we would have been significantly disadvantaged during negotiations and would not have achieved the outcome we ultimately secured.
Gunnebo was identified as a strong suiter in the process due to its service-led model, company ethos and global reach.
Howard Lang, President of Gunnebo Entrance Control, concluded:
Bringing Shuretech into the business significantly strengthens our UK engineering capability and reinforces our service-led model. It positions us to deliver greater consistency, accountability and long-term support for customers who depend on secure, high-performing entrance control systems.
James Guglia, who led the deal for Entrepreneurs Hub said:
This transaction was about positioning a high-quality physical security platform in the right strategic context. By reframing the equity story around its exposure to critical infrastructure and data centre end-markets, we were able to generate genuine competitive tension and secure a strong outcome for Carl and Lewis.
The cross border interest from Gunnebo Entrance Control reflected the company ethos and quality of the business alongside the clarity of the growth narrative we built.
