Environmental Responsibility
We are committed to protecting our environment through developing sustainable supply and production, based on accountable working practices. Buying practices and suppliers are regularly reviewed in line with this. To minimise the impact of the company’s activities on the environment, efficient operations and reducing waste are a priority. Recycling is promoted both internally and amongst customers and suppliers. The goal is to not just meet all relevant environmental legislation, but to exceed it.
Philanthropic Responsibility
This commitment is expressed in numerous ‘grass roots’ activities, some sponsored by the company, others the initiatives of individuals supported by and facilitated by the company. Example organisations supported are St Michael’s Hospice and Basingstoke Street Pastors. We are involved with public institutions like Imperial College, London because we believe in the importance of constantly seeking to engage with and inspire the next generation. Our membership of the Employee Ownership Association reflects the desire to benefit all stakeholders in both our clients’ and our own business.
Ethical Responsibility
We are committed to making sure that all staff, suppliers, and customers are safe and included – and feel that they are too. This is achieved by robust recruitment policies, clear lines of accountability and a culture of transparency. The constant goal is that of a working environment free of bullying, harassment, victimisation, and unlawful discrimination, promoting dignity and respect for all, where individual differences and the contributions of all staff are recognised and valued. We believe in rapidly acting on evidence of discriminatory behaviour at any, and all, levels of the business. We want to ensure a safe and happy working environment for staff, and for those who interact with our staff.
Economic Responsibility
We are committed to looking at all financial decisions in the light of the commitment to do good, particularly in the areas listed on this page. The end goal is not to simply maximize profits, but to also make sure that business operations positively impact the environment, people, and society. Consequently, we also strongly believe in reducing our carbon footprint and creating a climate positive workforce. This is furthered by participating in the sustainability initiatives of Ecologi, a certified B Corp.
